Namaste, Holy Beings!
It is a deep pleasure to share my practice, energy, and time with everyone on Insight Timer for the last few months. It has been such a meaningful and fulfilling journey for me and I truly hope that those who have joined the classes benefited from them.
As the months go by, I feel more and more inspired by this community – the energy, the joy and kindness, and the generosity – and from this, I have also learned to grow my heart further through making my own donations from the earnings I receive on Insight Timer. I kept it quiet for a while, thinking my donations aren’t a lot to make an impact, but I realized that every small thing counts. And moreover, it is the heart with which we give that makes the most impact in the world.
So last month during the last two LIVE classes, I also announced that a portion of my earnings from the students’ donations will be donated to a non-profit organization that helps the Filipino community as well as Mother Earth, advocacies that are truly dear to my heart.
From our April earnings, we made a donation to “For Our Farmers,” a non-profit organization that began in March 2020 at the start of the pandemic to extend help and support to our farmers in the provinces who strive hard to provide food for all of us. We were able to feed 3 families of 5 members each for a month. You may visit their website to learn more about their efforts in helping out our Filipino farmers.
From our May earnings, we made a donation to “One Million Lights Philippines,” an organization that aims to provide safe, affordable, and renewable solar-powered lights to our fellow Filipinos in the far-flung provinces where electricity is still scarce or expensive. You may also visit their home page to learn more about their initiatives.
From our upcoming June earnings, we will be making a donation to “CORA Philippines’ Mangrove Planting Program” that will help support the women who plant, grow, and maintain these mangroves in Samar, Leyte, and Mindanao.
With every donation, mangrove seedlings are planted and maintained by our WoMangrove Warriors — helping fight climate change, enhancing biodiversity and fisheries, and supporting the livelihood of women living in island and coastal communities in the Philippines such as Samar, Leyte and Mindanao. More locations sprouting soon.– CORA Philippines
