🎥 Cut to: March 2019. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Can’t believe the first two months are over and we’re entering a new one already. 2019 is turning out to be so action-packed and I’m sure there are so many more crazy plot twists in store ahead. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s both scary and exhilarating to live and be part of this ever-changing world, I tell you. So it’s very important to find composure amidst all these changes. I have a hard time with that, to be honest. There are days, I go to bed feeling awful or disappointed with myself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thankfully, not one but THREE, teachers in my life keep reminding me: “Begin again.” And this helps keep me grounded. Currently reading: The Wise Heart by @jack_kornfield and within the first few pages, this line struck me deeply: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “... discover the power of the heart to hold all things — sorrow, loneliness, shame, desire, regret, frustration, happiness, and peace — and find a deep trust that wherever we are and whatever we face, we can be free in their midst.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I believe in our capacity to be resilient and expansive, no matter the circumstance. Stumbled into this year like whoa! Worked hard to keep my balance and in a blink of an eye - it’s already February! 👀 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I didn’t expect January to be so fast-paced but I’m very grateful for all the memories and new experiences it brought. 🙏🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ February’s coming in quick too but will have a 10-day reprieve from all the hustle as I take my first-ever Vipassana retreat. 🧘🏻‍♀️🤫📵 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ll be surrendering my phone, social media, (books, journaling, yoga, and speaking) during that time so if I’m not responsive from Feb 6-17, please don’t worry and kindly be patient.
