Yoga is not useful to a life we should live in a world we wish we had. It is meant for our lives now in this world as it is. It’s about removing obstacles whenever possible and mastering our own attention and perception when it’s not. If we didn’t have illusions, we wouldn’t need yoga. The yoga you are doing is fueled by your daily distractions or stress – gas for the karmic burning we need to do – to slough off the old and ill-fitting parts of ourselves and become clearer and closer to who we really are. Our practice is to continually show up with courage and grace in the face of any obstacles.
