Plum Village Philippines: 4-Day Mindfulness Retreat

Thought I’d share this here for anyone who might be interested. I’ve just recently been reading Thich Nhat Hanh’s books and am really drawn to the simplistic way he explains certain philosophies and how to apply them in our everyday life. I know I’ll learn and rediscover a lot of things about myself through this retreat.

ABOUT THE RETREAT

Warmly inviting you to a refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, “Breathe, Smile, Now” is a 4-day/weekend retreat program to practice mindfulness with the monks and nuns of Plum Village in the tradition of respected teacher, peace advocate and poet, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. The retreat is designed for both beginners and advanced meditation practitioners, to fully enjoy the practice of breathing and integrate it into daily activities. This is the third annual full retreat conducted in the Philippines by visiting Plum Village monks and nuns.

Benefit from teachings and practices available with this opportunity: As meditation heals our physical and mental well-being, the special sense of community in this retreat also brings joy and love. It brings us the benefits of a healthy body and mind by combining sitting and walking meditation, mindful eating of vegetarian food, spiritual nourishment through Dharma talks, and total relaxation.
